Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is a lovely Hungarian breviary thought to have been produced sometime in the 1480s. According to the Web Gallery of Art: “[this] Breviarium was commissioned by Domonkos Kálmáncsehi, Provost of Székesfehérvár. It was illuminated by Francesco da Castello.”
I think the use of light and dark is quite beautiful.
